BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A power outage near Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge impacted hundreds of people Saturday morning, April 13.

The outage was reported just before 9:45 a.m. and left as many as 900 customers along Airline Highway near Pecue Lane without power at one point.

According to an Entergy spokesman, the outage was caused by construction in the area that impacted electrical equipment.

The spokesman said a crew is working to restore power to most customers, but an isolated group closest to where multiple power lines came down may be without power until the middle of the afternoon.

This is a developing story. Check back for more details.
