Both the winter and All Stars series have been filmed in South Africa, while the summer edition has always been filmed in Spain.

According to The Mirror, bosses have since been looking at other villa locations for the sexy singletons to get to know each other - including Portugal.

A source told the publication: "ITV Studios are scouting out properties for an unconfirmed forthcoming series and are prepared to splash out £20k a week on the right one.

"'They’ve got their eye on an incredible sprawling villa in the Algarve that is completely different to their more traditional current abode.

"It’s circular and really modern, and it’s been used for a French reality show before so it’s well set up for filming."

However the upcoming series will definitely be filmed in Spain.

ITV have confirmed: "We look forward to returning to Mallorca and our iconic villa for the forthcoming series of Love Island this summer."

Viewers don't have long to wait until Love Island is back on our screens.

The Sun exclusively revealed that according to our insiders, the launch night will be on Monday, June 3.

A source told us: "Fans will be pleased as it's just nine weeks away - summer doesn't start until Love Island is back on TV."

It is believed that Maya Jama will be presenting the show.

The star took over the role from former host Laura Whitmore in 2022.

The first ever All Stars series hit our screens this year in January.

The show saw past Islanders return to the iconic villa in a bid to find love for a second time.

Series nine legend Tom Clare and Molly Smith, who shot to game on series six, won the spin off.

It is unknown if All Stars will return next year.

Love Island 2023 was won by Jess Harding and Sammy Root.

The pair split just two months after returning to the UK.

Jess has since moved on with her new man, and recently revealed a loved-up snap of the pair.

However Sammy has hinted that he'd do another series.

Asked if he would take part again after some of the show’s most famous faces returned to the villa his year – Sammy told The Sun: “Seeing as love Island was the best experience of my life, I’d be silly to turn it down.

“Never say never, I’ll definitely consider it.”

Discussing his love life, Sammy went on to say: “I do a bit of talking here and there with the odd girl, but right now, I’m not really looking for anything serious.
