ITV responds to Love Island location change reports

ITV has responded to reports of a location change on the next seasons of Love Island.
Following reports that the dating show was eyeing up properties in Portugal and looking to move from its current Mallorca location for 2025, the network denied speculation of a new villa for now in a statement obtained by Digital Spy.
"We look forward to returning to Mallorca and our iconic villa for the forthcoming series of Love Island this summer," a spokesperson for ITV said.

It seems there are no plans to move to a new location this year, though no word yet as to what will happen in 2025, which will mark the 10-year anniversary of Love Island.
While singles are expected to return to the current villa, Sa Vinyassa, located on the outskirts of Cala d'Or in Mallorca, another Love Island series has seen a shakeup, with its longtime host being replaced.
Last month, it was announced that Sarah Hyland would step down from her role of Love Island USA host.

"Well, just got a text. I'm disappointed the news had to break this way but it is in fact true that I will not be returning to the island this summer," the Modern Family actress shared.
"I have committed to an exciting project that will be announced soon, that conflicts directly with the shooting dates for Love Island USA. While I'm sad I can't return, I hope to see lots of love this summer on Peacock this upcoming season!”
Ariana Madix, known for her role on Vanderpump Rules, has been confirmed as Hyland's replacement at the helm of the sixth season of the dating show, which is expected to air later this year after filming wraps in Fiji.
Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX. Love Island USA airs on Peacock.
