The Kansas City Fire Department says two people are looking for housing after a late-morning apartment fire near the Plaza.KCFD responded to the reported fire in the 1500 block of Lexington Court at approximately 1030 a.m. on Monday morning.Fire crews at the scene reported light smoke coming from a two-story apartment. The fire is believed to have started along an exterior wall before burning through the siding into the structure. KCFD firefighters quickly extinguished the flames.An extensive overhaul of the exterior wall was required to prevent the fire from spreading further into the building. KCFD is investigating the cause of the fire. Two occupants were displaced and will require temporary housing. No injuries have been reported as a result of this incident.
