ROMULUS — As spring blossoms along the scenic Cayuga Lake Wine Trail, wine enthusiasts and food lovers are invited to partake in the 30th annual Wine & Herb Event. Set for April 27-28 and May 4-5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each of those four days, it promises to be an unforgettable fusion of flavors, aromas, and gardening delights.

This year’s event is themed “Drink. Eat. Garden. Repeat.” Herb-infused dishes will be meticulously paired with wines, and secrets behind the creations will be revealed with a complimentary recipe collection. With the primary focus on jump-starting herb gardens, visitors will have the opportunity to gather potted herbs and veggies showcased in the food samples at each of the 10 participating wineries.

“The Wine & Herb event has become a cherished tradition for both locals and visitors, offering a unique blend of culinary exploration and gardening inspiration against the backdrop of our stunning wine trail,” said Katherine Chase, executive director of the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail.

Attendees will select a starting winery to kick off their journey, where they will receive a souvenir wine glass and their first potted herb or vegetable plant. From there, they’re free to traverse the trail at their leisure, collecting plants and savoring the delights along the way.

“This year, we’re excited to introduce a diverse selection of herbs and vegetable plants, including basil, broccoli, cauliflower, cilantro, Cherokee purple tomato, dill, oregano, parsley, rosemary, and sweet banana pepper,” Chase said. “These aromatic additions promise to elevate the culinary experience and inspire gardeners of all skill levels.”

Tickets are available now, with single tickets priced at $65 and couples tickets at $95 (plus tax and service fee). Each ticket includes one wine and food pairing at each winery, three additional wine tastings per winery, one potted herb or vegetable plant per winery per ticket, a recipe collection, and a souvenir wine glass.
