AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) — An Amsterdam woman was arrested and is accused of stabbing a victim in the chest with a kitchen knife after an argument. Mikayla Noack, 27, faces several charges.

On Saturday, around 4 p.m., Amsterdam Police responded to a home on Schuyler Street for reports of a man who was stabbed. Arriving officers say they found the victim with stab wounds to his chest.

Amsterdam police say an initial investigation found the victim was stabbed with a kitchen knife by Noack after an argument inside their shared home. The victim was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital and was taken to Albany Medical Center for further evaluation. He has since been released.

Charges:

  • Second-degree assault/intent with a deadly weapon
  • Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon

Noack was processed at Amsterdam Police headquarters and was arraigned in Amsterdam City Court. She is held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
