STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A crash on Tuesday morning at a busy intersection on Hylan Boulevard in New Dorp sent two people to the hospital.

The crash was reported at 9:45 a.m. at Hylan and Ebbitts Street, with two people transported to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze, according to a spokesman for the FDNY/EMS.

A white, Nissan Rogue sustained significant front-end damage, while the driver’s side door of a dark-colored Audi sedan was crumpled.

The crash prompted a large emergency response.
