Stats: Bayer Leverkusen's historic first and unbeaten 43, fourth for Messi-Suarez, Haaland 20

It was a big weekend of club football with Bayer Leverkusen becoming Bundesliga champions after beating Werder Bremen 5-0. Arsenal and Liverpool suffered crucial blows in the Premier League title race after losing their respective matches. Manchester City now lead the table after their win over Luton.

In LaLiga, Real Madrid remained on top after beating Mallorca while Barcelona also won their match against Cadiz. Girona remained in third despite suffering a loss against Atletico Madrid. In Serie A, Inter drew with Cagliari but maintained their top spot on the table. AC Milan and Juventus also drew their respective matches.
