Firefighters extinguished a garage fire in the Olympic East neighborhood of Longview early Monday morning.
No injuries were reported.
Longview Fire Department responded to a fire at around 2:01 a.m. in the 2710 block of Fir Street, just five minutes after receiving the initial 911 call, according to a department press release.
When crews arrived they report seeing a detached garage engulfed with flames, with the possibility of spreading to nearby residences.
“This fire was moments away from spreading to occupied homes,” Longview Fire Battalion Chief Eric Koreis said in the press release.
