Chrissy Teigen, John Legend can’t agree on whether they’d like more kids after welcoming baby No. 4 less than a year ago

Looks like baby No. 5 is up in the air for Chrissy Teigen and John Legend.

The couple seemingly can’t agree on whether they would like to have more kids after welcoming their fourth child, Wren Alexander Stephens, via surrogate less than a year ago.

After being asked if they would be trying for baby No. 5, Teigen told reporters on Wednesday at City Harvest’s 2024 Gala: Magic of Motown that she immediately wanted another child after “Wren started walking.”

However, the musician quickly shut it down with a stern “no!” as Teigen smiled coyly in the background.

When asked by Page Six how their dynamic had changed after welcoming two babies in 2023, Legend said, “Oh, it’s so good. It’s just so much love in the house.”

Teigen, 38, however, used the opportunity to convince her husband, 45, to have another baby by saying, “And that’s what it would be like if we have a fifth!”

But Legend wasn’t having it as he responded with another “no!” again.

Teigen and Legend are parents to 7-year-old daughter Luna and 5-year-old son Miles, who they welcomed in April 2016 and May 2018, respectively.

The TV personality then got pregnant a third time, but announced she had suffered a miscarriage at 20 weeks in October 2020.

“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.

However, Teigen later admitted her son Jack’s death was the result of a “life-saving abortion.”

The A-list couple then decided to try again and in January 2023, they welcomed Esti after undergoing IVF.

The 12-time Grammy Award winner announced her arrival during a private concert with the “Chrissy’s Court” alum later confirming the news on Instagram.

“She’s here! Esti Maxine Stephens – the house is bustling and our family could not be happier,” she wrote alongside a sweet snap of her rainbow baby with her eldest children.

Just five months after welcoming Esti, the couple shocked fans by announcing they had welcomed Wren via surrogate.

“For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted four children,” she wrote on Instagram in June 2023.

At the time, the devoted mom explained they sought a surrogate because she didn’t know if she could “carry any more babies.”
