4 Marion County residents indicted in separate drug related deaths

4 Marion County residents have been indicted in separate drug related deaths, according to the 12th Judicial Drug Task Force.

Jasper Police found that Joel Thomas Layne died on January 20th.

The 12th Judicial Drug Task Force discovered that he was given a combination of methamphetamine and buprenorphine, leading to his death.

Police arrested and indicted Christopher Brian Janeway of 2nd degree murder for supplying Layne with the drugs.

An investigation revealed that a Patrick Pitts and Billy Gott were also involved.

Pitts was arrested and indicted, but police are still looking for Gott to serve his indictment.

On February 19th the Whitwell Police Department found Stacey Pedigo, who died of an overdose.

An investigation led to a search warrant conducted at the home of Shonta Walker in Dunlap.

Police located Fentanyl in the residence.

The 12th Judicial Drug Task Force says Walker was indicted for 2nd degree murder.
