A United States Postal Service worker has died following a rollover crash in Litchfield on Saturday.

The crash at the intersection of Huntington Hill Road and Quackenbush Lane involving a USPS vehicle was reported at around 9:03 a.m., according to the Lt. Chris Read of the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office.

Alicia Bubier, 48, of Wales had been southbound on Huntington Hill road before leaving the roadway, where the vehicle rolled several times according to an initial investigation. Bubier was partially ejected from the vehicle.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

She received serious, life-threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston after being extracted from the vehicle. Bubier died from her injuries at around 4:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon, according to Deputy Jeremy York.

An ongoing investigation into the circumstances of the crash is underway.
