Gwyneth Paltrow says she 'doesn't give a f**k' now she's 50 as the wellness guru reveals she has 'one slovenly day a week' watching reality TV and ordering take out

Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed that she 'doesn't give a f**k' now that she is 50, and admitted that she enjoys one day a week of reality TV and takeaway food.

The wellness guru, 51, started her £200million lifestyle empire Goop in 2008 and has since cemented herself in the world of all things healing.

But speaking to the Sunday Times, Gwyneth revealed that even she is partial to a day curled up on the sofa scoffing take-out and binge-watching reality TV.

Goop has had its fair share criticism over the years. In 2018, Gwyneth paid a settlement of $145,000 (£115,000) over unsubstantiated claims that her company's jade eggs worked to balance hormones.

But Gwyneth has now admitted that since turning 50 in 2022, she cares less and less what people have to say about her.

'I don't give a f***, I don't care, I've turned 50, I don't give a f*** what anybody thinks,' she said.

Gwyneth said she had good intentions when starting the company as she just wanted to add a new point of view to the lifestyle scene, and it hurt to see people so upset about it.

She has modelled her entire image on wellness and healing, focusing on eating well, balancing her gut microbiome, reducing inflammation, fasting and kicking refined sugars.

But Gwyneth can still toss it aside for a day of lounging and junk food.

She said: 'I love on a Sunday to not do anything, watch rubbish TV and not make dinner and order in food. I really need one slovenly day.'

Gwyneth admitted to discovering reality TV during the pandemic, with Love Is Blind and Love On The Spectrum getting shout-outs as being addictive.

It's 'a slippery slope', Gwyneth said of her dip into the reality TV genre.

In November, Gwyneth revealed her take on various wellness rituals, as she played a hilarious game of 'Slay or Nay' and guided fans through a few healthy habits that she holds dear.

Claiming lemon water, cold plunging and sounds baths to be a 'slay' as she 'finds them to be really healing', Gwyneth - who recently revealed when she first stepped way from acting - is also a big fan of medicinal mushrooms.

'I think that psychedelics are going to absolutely be — and currently are — the next most interesting area in addressing mental health,' she gushed.

'There's incredible research coming out about these modalities.'

As for 'slugging' - slathering one's skin in petroleum jelly for hydration - the Iron Man alum said she's neutral, calling herself 'Switzerland.'

'Slugging looks sticky, but if you're into it, it can't hurt you,' she explained.

The star did exclaim 'nay' when the subject of taping up one's face to prevent wrinkles was brought up.

Gwyneth also revealed a funny anecdote about her famous mother Blythe Danner.

'I remember my mother having these things called Frownies when I was little that she taped a triangle to her forehead, but actually she didn't have a lot of forehead wrinkles, so maybe they work,' she recalled.
