Is America’s time expired?(letter to the editor)

Nothing lasts forever. Not even America. We’ve been around since 1776 after seceding from Great Britain.

Almost 250 years.

So, with tongue in cheek, I offer the following. I read a historical book that said empires last 250-to-500-year range. Many empires and dynasties, Roman, Greek, Persian, Samaritan and Egyptian, enjoyed their heyday and succumbed within those time frames.

Congresswoman (Marjorie Taylor) Greene believes the recent earthquake and eclipse are God-given signs that America’s time is up. I see her standing on a barrel in Times Square, shouting to a crowd: “The end is here.”

Others scoff at such a notion. No one can predict the future. My question is: Does Greene have a red emergency phone directly to God?
