Erin Hartley

Erin Hartley joined the 6 News team in March 2022.

Erin began her career at KKCO/KJCT in Grand Junction, Colo. She first worked as a Multi-Media Journalist and eventually became the anchor and producer of the morning and noon weekday newscasts. In Grand Junction, Erin covered a variety of local and national stories, including protests of the 2019 impeachment of President Trump and impacts of the coronavirus pandemic. She was also awarded the 2020 Colorado Broadcasters Association award for "Best Small Market News Anchor."

Erin’s interest in broadcast journalism started at a very young age. She has always been passionate about public speaking and used to love watching her local news station, so she knew becoming a journalist was the career for her.

Growing up in Sacramento, Calif., Erin dedicated most of her time outside of school to competitive swimming. She eventually went on to swim in college as an NCAA athlete at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in communication with a minor in political science.

When she’s not in the newsroom, Erin loves hitting the gym, traveling, and spending time with her puppy, Rudy.

Erin is excited to continue her broadcast journalism career in Omaha and invites you to keep up with her on Twitter and Facebook. If you have any story ideas, Erin would love to hear from you!
