PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Sunday kicked off the season opener for the Central Illinois Flea Market.

Over 100 vendors and more than 1,000 guests came to the Peoria Speedway on Farmington Road for the flea market.

Vendors were selling everything from jewelry to clothing to toys and books. This marks the third year the market will run from April through October.

Founder Scott Walden said you never know what you may find at a flea market.

“You never know what you’re going to find down here. You know, we just have so much stuff down here. Thousands of items for sale that it’s just you never know what you’re going to find. So it’s kind of a treasure hunt down here,” said Walden.

The flea market is open every other Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
