Phyllis (Phil) Culleton (née Bowe), St. Martins, Rossleighan, Portlaoise peacefully departed this life in the embrace of her devoted family on Monday 15 April.

She will be sorely missed by her husband John, her three sons, John, Shane and Philip, her grandchildren Aislinn, Saoirse, Setanta and Kjartan as well as her extended family.

She was formerly cared for by the loving staff of Ballard Lodge Nursing Home in Portlaoise.

‘Sunset and evening star, And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar, When I put out to sea.

For tho’ from out our bourne of Time and Place The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face, When I have crost the bar.’

Phil will repose at Moloney’s Funeral Home, Mountmellick this Wednesday 17 April from 5pm to 8pm with a short Prayer Service at 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Thursday 18 April at 2pm in St. Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise followed by burial in Portlaoise Cemetery.
