Undocumented immigrant wanted for illegally possessing firearms at large in Dorchester Co.

The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) is assisting state and federal law enforcement in searching for a wanted undocumented immigrant.

Fredy Antonio Gonzales Gamboa, 30, is wanted by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) for two counts of firearm possession by an unlawful alien, according to the DCSO.

According to the DCSO, Gonzales Gamboa was known to reside at a home on Lewisfield Drive in the Archdale neighborhood of North Charleston.

The morning of March 19, Gonzales Gamboa fled a traffic stop conducted by customs enforcement officers. The officers subsequently located his vehicle at the Lewsfield Drive residence, according to the DCSO.

Deputies say DCSO SWAT assisted customs enforcement officers in searching the home. A female and a juvenile were located inside and escorted to a safe location. Gonzales Gamboa was not found.

Anyone with information about the incident or knows where authorities may locate Gonzales Gamboa is asked to notify the nearest enforcement agency.
