FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia State Police reported that an 81-year-old woman was found safe around noon on Monday, April 15, nearly two days after she reportedly went missing.

According to police, Kathryn R. Watkins had been last seen sometime during the evening of Saturday, April 13, in the 8000 block of Kerry Lane in Fairfax County.

Police described Watkins as being a white woman who stands at about 5 feet and 6 inches tall with brown eyes and brownish-gray hair.

Police said she may have been wearing jeans, carrying a Khors purse and driving a 2012 silver Toyota Camry with the Virginia license plate TTC-5142.

Watkins has a cognitive impairment and officials said her disappearance posed a credible threat to her health and safety.
