'Yellowstone' actor appointed honorary Fort Worth police officer

Cole Hauser, who plays ranch foreman Rip Wheeler in the modern western drama “Yellowstone” was appointed an honorary Fort Worth police officer, the department said.

FORT WORTH, Texas — Cole Hauser, who plays ranch foreman Rip Wheeler in the western drama “Yellowstone,” was appointed an honorary Fort Worth police officer, the department shared Wednesday.

The department says the appointment was “a small token for his respect and support for the men and women in blue who serve our community and our military members and veterans.”

Fort Worth Police also praised Hauser’s support of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which works to provide education and other opportunities for service members and their children, and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which works to provide mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families, according to their website.

“Yellowstone” follows the story of the Montana ranch family, the Duttons, played by Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly and Wes Bentley. Hauser’s character is married to Beth Dutton, played by Kelly Reilly, on the show.
