BLAKELY, Ga. (WALB) - The new principal for Early County High School has been announced following the retirement announcement of Tammy Kilgore.

The Early County School System (ECSS) announced on Monday that Randy Isom was appointed as the new principal for the 2024-2025 school year.

Isom has served the ECSS community for 28 years. The school system said Isom started at Early County Elementary School as a 4th-grade teacher. In 2021, he was the Early County High School’s assistant principal.

“I am honored to accept the principal job at Early County High School. Education is vital for the growth and development of students and society. Investing in education is crucial for success,” Isom said.

“Mr. Isom’s selection from a pool of highly qualified candidates underscores his exceptional leadership qualities and dedication to the students of Early County. We look forward to the continued growth and success of Early County High School under his guidance,” ECSS Superintendent Jennifer Brown said.
