ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation announced the launch of their new podcast. The bi-weekly series, called “DEC Does What?!,” will aim to cover environmental news and the department’s initiatives throughout the state.

The series is hosted by DEC Executive Deputy Commissioner Sean Mahar and Chief of Staff Erica Ringewald. The podcast’s first episode, titled “Going Wild(life) for the Eclipse”, features DEC biologists Dr. Angelena Ross and Dr. Dan Rosenblatt discussing a range of topics, including the potential effects of the upcoming April 8 solar eclipse on New York wildlife.
