Driver dies after fiery crash in Glendale

GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — A driver is dead after a fiery crash in Glendale on Saturday afternoon.

Around 12:40 p.m., firefighters were called to a collision near 83rd and Glendale Avenues. Crews arrived to a truck fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters quickly put out the blaze and tended to the driver, who died at the scene. The driver has not been identified. No other injuries were reported.

Glendale Fire says that the driver of the pickup truck was turning from a private parking lot onto Glendale Avenue when they were hit by a car going east.

The area will be closed for several hours while the crash is being investigated.
