It seems like only a few years ago the Golden State Warriors were the best team in the NBA, winning multiple championships and changing the league as we know it.
Now they are on the verge of some very substantial changes.
The Warriors were easily defeated by the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night, putting an end to their complicated and disappointing season.
On Wednesday’s episode of “First Take,” Stephen A. Smith said that Tuesday’s loss marked the end of the Warriors dynasty.
Calling it “the end of the Warriors as we know it,” Smith simply said, “It’s a wrap.”

Smith repeatedly pointed out that the Warriors have had just one Finals appearance over the last five seasons and have missed three of the last five postseasons.
He said the team’s front office will not just sit still and let Steph Curry’s twilight years be filled with such struggles.
In other words, the team has to be broken up to give Curry the best chance for another championship run before he hangs up his jersey.
Curry posted 22 points during Tuesday’s game, while Draymond Green scored 12, and Klay Thompson came up painfully short with zero points.
Thompson will be a free agent in a matter of weeks and it seems very likely that he may have just played his final game as a Warrior.
Green could also be on his way to another team.
But they might not be the only ones: the Warriors could part ways with numerous players in order to bolster the roster and offer Curry more support.
The dynasty reigned supreme for a long time but nothing lasts forever and a new chapter for the Golden State Warriors may be starting soon.
