DARKE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) — One person was taken to the hospital by CareFlight after an injury crash Saturday afternoon.

The Darke County Sheriff’s Office received a call around 4:30 p.m. regarding a single vehicle injury crash on April 6. Deputies responded to the area of State Route 49 South and Miller Brumbaugh Road.

Upon arrival, deputies and medics discovered a black 2002 Chevrolet Blazer had been traveling southeast on OH-49.

The driver, an 18-year-old male, drove off the right side of the road and overcorrected back onto the roadway, then traveling off the left side of the road. The vehicle overturned.

Crews on scene report the driver was wearing his seatbelt and was freed without mechanical means. He was transported by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital for his injuries. His current condition is unknown.

The sheriff’s office was assisted on scene by Arcanum Rescue and Pitsburg Fire Department.

The crash remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
