The three workers killed along Interstate 83 in York County early Wednesday morning were working on a crack-sealing project when a box truck collided with a construction vehicle and then veered into them, according to a report from the county coroner’s office.
The box truck – driven by a 24-year-old man – entered the construction zone around 3:25 a.m. near mile marker 35.5 in Fairview Township, where the three workers, employed by the Somerset-based CriLon Corp., were making repairs.
