The Williams County land bank has finalized the list of properties being submitted for a site revitalization grant for this year.
The land bank met with Estee Miller of Maumee Valley Planning and she explained the sites being submitted for that grant are residential.
The list of properties include:
100 S. Defiance St., Stryker.
102 N. Depot St.
305 S. Michigan St.
406 W. North St., West Unity.
101 Bauvic St., Pioneer.
15944 OHio 576.
6160 County Road P50.
207 S. Jonesville St.
Ohio 49.
300 Miller park Drive.
523 Pleasant St. and 215 Court St., Montpelier.
108 S. Pine Grove, Alvordton.
220 Empire St., Montpelier.
11417 Highway 20.
02359 County Road H.
325 Center St., Bryan.
The land bank also has funds left over from a previous round of site revitalization funding and has received permission to use those funds toward additional properties. Those include 03921 Ohio 576, Bryan; 19844 Highway 20, Alvordton; 21892 County Road R, Fayette; 312 Lawrence St. and 514 W. Jefferson St. in Montpelier; and 511 N. School West Unity.
Miller said if there are still funds remaining after those properties are handled, there are four more properties that could be mitigated, but approval has not yet come from the state.
“I don’t foresee any issues with them, I think they’re just overwhelmed right now with the April 1 deadline for all the applications,” Miller said.
Miller also said the land bank has submitted three properties for up to $1 million in brownfield funding, including the former AT&T building in West Unity, the former Kunkle Carryout and an assessment for a former school in Bryan.
“We’re just testing everything right now,” Miller said of the application for the former school. “They don’t have plans in place for that yet, but we had funds left in our $1 million so it was just a good fit to get them something to see what’s there.”
She also informed the board no application deadlines have been given for 2025 brownfield funding grants, but said as of now no money has been set aside so projets would require a 25% match.
