LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle while walking on Bardstown Road early Sunday morning.
Louisville Fire and EMS responded to an injury accident at Bardstown Road and Meadow Drive around 4:30 a.m.
LMPD believes the pedestrian was pushing a shopping cart and was walking on or near the northbound lane of Bardstown Road when the accident occurred.
Fire and EMS attempted CPR on the pedestrian; however, they were pronounced dead on the scene.
Police said the driver involved in the crash remained on scene.
LMPD's Traffic Unit is investigating.
