A school bus caught fire Wednesday afternoon on the Garden State Parkway in Cape May County, police said.
Troopers found the vehicle fully engulfed on the southbound side of the highway near milepost 20.6 shortly after 2:30 p.m. in Upper Township, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron told NJ Advance Media.
Ten students and the bus driver had already safely exited before first responders arrived at the scene, Seaville Fire Rescue said in a Facebook post. None of them were injured.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
It was unclear where the bus was headed and which school district it was servicing.
