Firefighters responded late in the morning Tuesday, April 10 to a fire at the car wash at the Woody’s convenience store at 1001 Fiesta Avenue.

Parker Police Chief Mike Bailey said the fire appeared to have started in a storage closet. The cause of the fire was not known. There were no reports of injuries. The northbound lanes of Riverside Drive (State Route 95) were closed temporarily.

The car wash is located on the Eagle Avenue side of the site, which mostly faces onto Riverside Drive. The entire site has been temporarily closed for renovations.

Among the agencies that responded were the Parker, Buckskin and CRIT Fire Departments, the Parker and CRIT Police Departments, and the La Paz County Sheriff’s Office.
