CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Students on St. Anne's-Belfield School’s Lego robotics team got some last-minute practice in on Tuesday before heading to Houston, Texas, to represent Central Virginia at the 2024 FIRST Championship.

The championship, which will be from Wednesday through Saturday, is an international event for the youth robotics competition season.

STAB's team, called "Level Up," will showcase its talents and compete against other robotics teams from across the country.

One student on the team says the team is ready.

"It's been a bit stressful lately, but I do think that we are well-prepared at this point. Our robot has been scoring high, the presentation has been getting more and more fluent with each day, and we should have a little bit more of practice time before we have to present on Thursday," said team member Nicolas Zeisler.
