Jury selection in the hush money case began on Monday and the trial is expected to last about six weeks.

Trump's campaign said it will take full advantage of trial off days on Wednesday and weekends. The president has his own plane making one-day travel for campaign stops possible.

The ex-president according to the campaign will continue to deliver his message with in-person and virtual events when he's not in the courtroom.

His campaign claims the court appearances and indictments have proven to backfire for Democrats and Biden and expect this case to be no different.

When Trump is in court, his team believes all the attention will be on him and his message.

'Joe Biden and the Democrats’ entire strategy to defeat President Trump is to keep him away from campaigning by confining him to a courtroom,' said Karoline Leavitt, National Press Secretary in a statement.

'President Trump will continue to fight for truth in the courtroom and to share his winning message on the campaign trail,' she said.

Trump's trial will meet on seven days in total in April and nearly all those days will likely be jury selection. It is unlikely there will be any live testimony at all this month.

His campaign senior adviser Jason Miller tweeted on Monday simply 'Wall to wall' with an image showing all the networks airing Trump's court entrance.

At a rally in Schnecksville, PA ahead of the trial start, Trump spent a significant amount of time decrying the case, told supporters it was an honor to be indicted and said they should 'have a good time watching.'

And as Trump appeared in court on Monday for the first day of jury selection, the ex-president's social media pages was actively posting coverage defending Trump.

Among the president's events already on the books despite the trial is an upcoming fundraiser in Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday, April 20.

Tickets go for as much as $250,000 a person according to the invite. The fundraiser rakes in cash for the Trump 47 joint fundraising committee.

On the eve of the hush money case starting, Trump was already fundraising off the trial start.

'My SHAM trial begins tomorrow. Before I head to court, I need to know that EVERY TRUMP LOVING PATRIOT has joined my Advisory board,' one email asking for contributions read.

While Trump has lagged Biden in fundraising, his previous court appearances have proven to be a strong fundraising tool.

At his political events, supporters wear t-shirts adorned with his mugshot from another case.

The hush money case could be the first of four criminal trials the ex-president faces this year.

The three other criminal cases against him include an election interference case in Georgia, the federal election interference case around January 6 and charges for the classified documents found at Mar-a-Lago.
