EAST PALESTINE, Pa., (WKBN) – The Pennsylvania Department of Health is asking first responders and residents who may have been exposed to the hazards of the East Palestine train derailment to complete a follow-up assessment of chemical exposure survey.

The surveys will allow people near the impacted area to share their health symptoms, medical care and treatment, along with their concerns and needs.

Pennsylvania residents can take the community survey online. First responders can take the first responder survey online as well.

People can also take the survey in person at the Darlington Township Municipal Building on April 18 or 25 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. or April 10, 19 or 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Someone will be able to assist on those days.

The surveys are for any Pennsylvanian that the train derailment has impacted. Those taking the survey do not have to live in Darlington Township.
