Bon Jovi Is Gaining On The Charts

Following

Bon Jovi is preparing to release a new album later this spring, and it seems that their fans are so eager for what’s next that they’re returning to the band’s older material. As the group begins promoting the forthcoming Forever, one of their most successful projects is rising on the Billboard charts.

Greatest Hits: The Ultimate Collection lifts on a trio of Billboard rankings this frame. The set of the band’s most beloved tracks is up in terms of placement on three rankings, and also when it comes to the number of units the title has moved. That means that not only is Bon Jovi able to compete with whatever else is charting at the moment, but that interest in the set is actually greater than it was last frame.

On the Billboard 200, Greatest Hits: The Ultimate Collection jumps to No. 156. That’s up a little more than 10 spaces, as the compilation landed at No. 167 last frame.

In the past tracking period, Greatest Hits: The Ultimate Collection moved 8,784 equivalent units, according to Luminate. That’s 4% greater than the period before, so consumption of the title and the songs featured on it is definitely improving.

Greatest Hits: The Ultimate Collection is still selling well–for a title that’s been out for many years–though it didn’t move enough copies to land on the Top Album Sales chart (the weekly ranking of the bestselling titles in the country). Bon Jovi’s compilation sold 866 copies throughout the country last tracking frame.

Bon Jovi also improves their positioning on two of Billboard’s rock-only lists that focus on albums. Greatest Hits: The Ultimate Collection re-enters the top 40 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums tally, surging from No. 41 to No. 37. On the Top Hard Rock Albums list, it’s up from No. 10 to No. 8. The compilation has previously topped both tallies.

While their compilation of older favorites is growing, one of Bon Jovi’s classics is actually falling. “Livin’ on a Prayer” slips slightly, landing at No. 9 on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart after settling at No. 10 last week. Their new single “Legendary” is still performing on at least one of Billboard’s pop radio rankings.
