Chandigarh: The Tricity is likely to witness a spell of rain starting from Thursday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted, while citing fresh western disturbance as the cause for the likely precipitation. The IMD also issued an advisory for the farmers to keep their harvested crop at a safe and covered place.
Meanwhile, the maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 35.2°C and the minimum temperature was 18.6°C.
The IMD said as fresh western disturbance is likely to hit the region on Thursday, the weather would remain partly cloudy with likely thundery development/light rainfall for three days starting from Thursday. The IMD in its advisory said, “Avoid irrigation in the open and do not take shelter under trees due to expected thunderstorm activity.” tnn
