The NCAA Tournament national championship had social media ablaze Monday morning in anticipation of the game.

However, reactions weren't directed only at the matchup between No. 1 overall seed UConn (36-3) and 1 seed Purdue (34-4), nor the individual matchup of star players in Purdue big man Zach Edey and UConn post player Donovan Clingan. Many of them were in disbelief at the late tipoff: approximately 9:20 p.m. ET.

Purdue will aim to replicate the 2018-19 Virginia team on Monday, winning the national championship a year after losing in the first round as a 1 seed. The Boilermakers' game vs. the Huskies will be broadcast on TBS at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, with a local tipoff at 6:20 p.m. PT. While that makes a lot of sense for the locals, it will likely end just after midnight for viewers in the Eastern Time Zone.

The NCAA Tournament championship game on the men's side has typically been played at the same time for year — even when played within the Eastern Time Zone. Still, that did not stop fans from reacting to the tipoff time on a Monday that will also feature a rare solar eclipse for the country.
