North Carolina man charged with murder after victim was found shot on Floyd Street, Greensboro officials say
A man is in jail without bond after being charged with murder, according to officials with the Greensboro Police Department.

On Sunday, just before 7:30 p.m., officers, along with the Greensboro Fire Department and Guilford County EMS, were called to the 2300 block of Floyd Street about a shooting.
When they arrived, they found the victim, Bobby Locke Jr., and began trying to save his life, but Locke, 51, died from his injuries at the scene.

Officers arrested Darius Hemsley, 38, in connection to Locke’s death. He was charged with first-degree murder and is in jail without bond.
This is Greensboro’s 12th homicide of 2024. The investigation is ongoing.
