PULASKI CO., Ky. (WYMT) - Police in Pulaski County arrested two men after they found drugs in their possession.

On April 3, deputies with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office were called out to a home on Lakeview Drive in Nancy about two men being on property that they were not supposed to be on.

After deputies arrived at the scene, Darwyn Roberts, 69, of Somerset, and Eric Lawhorn, 45, of Nancy, got in a white truck and started backing out of the driveway.

When deputies made contact with Roberts and Lawhorn, Roberts told them he was getting the rest of his property.

Roberts dropped a clear plastic jar, which appeared to have a crystal-like substance inside similar to methamphetamine, according to police.

During a search of the truck, deputies also found a glass pipe used to smoke methamphetamine, and digital scales used for trafficking illegal narcotics.

When deputies asked Lawhorn if he had anything illegal in his possession, Lawhorn advised he did not.

Deputies later searched Lawhorn, where they found a crystal-like substance folded into money in his wallet.

Roberts was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree (first offense-methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia-buy or possess, and public intoxication.

Lawhorn was charged with possession of a controlled substance in the first degree (first offense-methamphetamine).

Roberts and Lawhorn were taken to the Pulaski County Detention Center.
