Jackknifed tractor-trailer causes issues on I-81

LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — All lanes of Interstate 81 southbound were closed overnight in a portion of Lebanon County due to a crash involving a jackknifed tractor-trailer.

According to a PennDOT spokesperson, the crash happened just before 3:30 a.m. at mile marker 83.5.

The highway was closed between 85: PA 934 – ANNVILLE/FT INDIANTOWN GAP and Exit 80: PA 743 – GRANTVILLE/HERSHEY.

According to PennDOT, a hazmat crew was called to the scene to offload fuel due to a small puncture in a saddle tank

No injuries were reported. The road has since reopened.
