Syracuse, N.Y. – A 70-year-old woman is accused of stealing $14,000 by using names of several different people, including her dead husband, to obtain credit cards and loans.

Wanda Gilpin, of Pulaski, was charged with bank fraud, misuse of a social security number and aggravated identity theft Friday in federal court in Syracuse, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York.

Gilpin used social security numbers and personal information of her husband and others to obtain lines of credit and loans with no plans to repay them, prosecutors said.
