Manx Care has called for volunteers to come forward to staff its drop-in medical advice sessions and telephone services.

The health care operator recently said it had scaled back some aspects of its Manx Care Advice and Liaison Service (MCALS) for three months due to staffing pressures.

MCALS is the point of contact for those who want to share feedback on patient experiences, as well as for helping people find information or access what they need within the island's health service.

Volunteers have been asked to offer two hours a month to support people either in person at community drop-ins, over the phone or via email.

The service recently moved its main based to the Noble's Hospital site in Braddan, with plans to open a public counter in the summer.

The confidential service also has responsibility for acting on feedback to improve patient experience across Manx Care's services.

The health care provider is hosting an information evening on 15 April at Garaghyn Glass on the Noble's Hospital site between 17:00 to 19:00 BST.
