Just a week ago, Chief Harold Medina talked about his team getting gun violence control on Central Avenue. This past weekend, a shooting happened on Central in Downtown Albuquerque, leaving people worried about coming back around this area.
Police body camera footage shows, Zane Katzenberger, 18, fleeing after the shooting before police catch him on the corner with a gun in his waistband.
With incidents like this happening now and just a few months ago at Knockouts, businesses we spoke to say crime is hurting their business.
"All of my customers' feedback are feeling insecure. They don't want to come in because there's too many homeless people or [think] something bad is going to happen," said Manuel Diaz, owner of Diaz Kitchen & Sushi Bar on Central.
Diaz said he's also experienced the crime by almost getting his car stolen and even having to shut down early.
"I got my windows broken just last year, three times, like come on man," Diaz said. "Another shooting, it's become normal for me, but customers who are not used to these things it's sad. I'm trying to get my business and keep going, but these situations don't help."

In a video taken of the shooting Saturday night, you can see police lights in the background of the video, even a comment from someone nearby stating, "Oh, right in front of the cops, are you serious?"
"Kids or people in general are still doing crime because it's not a big deal for them. They're going to jail today, and by tomorrow, the next day, they're out," Diaz said.
Police say Katzenberger is facing four charges, including aggravated battery and negligent use of a deadly weapon. Police also found the second shooter in the video, taking him to the Bernalillo County Juvenile Detention Center. He is facing four charges, including unlawful possession of a gun and aggravated battery.
