Driver seriously injured in hit-and-run on I-225

Colorado State Patrol said a white car or SUV that left the scene likely caused the crash near the Parker Road exit.

AURORA, Colo. — A driver was seriously injured in a crash involving three vehicles on Interstate 225 in Aurora Sunday morning.

Colorado State Patrol (CSP) said the crash happened around 2:40 a.m. on northbound lanes of I-225 just south of the Parker Road exit.

The injuries to the victim are serious but not life-threatening.

The driver suspected of causing the crash left the scene by continuing north on I-225, CSP.

Investigators believe the suspect vehicle is likely a white car or SUV with fresh damage to the passenger side and front end.
