If you're a sports fan who believes in the Drake curse, you will be expecting Jamahal Hill to win at UFC 300.

The rap superstar placed a $675,000 wager on Alex Pereira to retain the light heavyweight championship in the main event of Saturday's show at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The bet will pay out just under $1.2 million for Drake if Pereira wins.

Per DraftKings Sportsbook, Pereira is a slight favorite in the bout with moneyline odds of -130 (bet $130 to win $100). Hill is +110 to win the championship.

Drake is not off to a good start with his bets on UFC main events this year. He lost $700,000 when Dricus du Plessis defeated Sean Strickland to win the middleweight title at UFC 297 on Jan. 20.

The bet did prompt a response from du Plessis after he won the championship.

Drake did rebound in the Super Bowl when his $1.15 million bet on the Kansas City Chiefs paid off when they defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime. He also won $1.9 million on March 8 thanks to Anthony Joshua's knockout win over Francis Ngannou.

Pereira is making his first defense of the UFC light heavyweight championship on Saturday night. He defeated Jiří Procházka to win the vacant title at UFC 295 last November in just his second fight in the 205-pound division.

Poatan began his career competing in the middleweight division. He won the 185-pound title by defeating Israel Adesanya at UFC 281, but Adesanya won it back in the rematch at UFC 287.

Hill is looking to regain the light heavyweight crown after an injury forced him to vacate it. He originally won the title from Glover Teixeira at UFC 283 in January 2021, but relinquished the title six months later after suffering a ruptured Achilles.

The 32-year-old Hill has won four consecutive fights, with three of them coming via knockout or TKO.
