Two earthquakes hit Northern California on Thursday evening, according to the United States Geological Survey's map. Both earthquakes hit near Belden in Plumas County shortly after 6:30 p.m. The first was a magnitude 4.2 and the second was a magnitude 4.8, according to the map. The quake could be felt from KCRA 3's station in Sacramento. A third quake was reported in the Belden area a half hour later, a 2.9 magnitude, according to the map.So far, there have been no reports of structural damage due to the earthquakes.
