Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have treated their children to a number of luxury holidays over the years, from a special pre-Christmas trip to an action-packed getaway.

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet followed in their father's footsteps as they went on their first-ever ski trip earlier this year. Harry was taken on ski trips from a young age and often hit the slopes with Prince William, King Charles and the late Princess Diana.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have also taken their kids on holiday to join in with special July 4 celebrations and to meet with some very important people. Here, we've taken a look back at some of the best family holidays they've been on so far.

Meghan Markle enjoyed a ski trip with her close friends Heather Dorak and Kelly McKee Zajfen earlier this year. The group headed to the Powder Mountain Ski Resort and were joined by Archie and Lilibet.

The Duchess of Sussex was seen smiling next to her friends in a picture shared on Instagram by Heather. In the caption, Heather wrote: "Wow, what a perfect trip!! My heart is so full.

"The kids crushed the slopes by day and the adults howled with laughter deep into the night. Truly lucky in love with our wonderful friends!"

Meghan has previously expressed her desire for her children to learn how to ski. Bridget Bridge, the wife of an IG25 board member, previously told The Mirror: "Meghan said that she really wanted her children to learn to ski and that maybe Whistler was the ideal place. She said she didn’t ski so we told her they must come and learn."

Meghan and Harry also went on holiday with Heather and her family in July 2022. The Sussexes took their kids to Jackson Hole Valley in Wyoming to celebrate July 4.

The couple were pictured at the parade with their children, with Archie looking adorable as he waved an American flag. The youngster also wore a red, white and blue cap.

A Facebook post uploaded by a fellow visitor read: “Funny story...we are in Jackson Hole WY at their 4th July Parade. The big tough guy told us twice that he was saving seats for his family. I'm ok already, do you want us to move? (which of course we wouldn't do).

"He said ‘oh No, I just want you to know.’ I thought, well it must be the royal family (very sarcastic thinking!) A minute later Meghan Markle and Prince Harry walk up with little Archie!

"The big guy was the bodyguard. Meghan is gorgeous and Harry and Archie are cute. We were right next to them and their friends. I could have whispered in her ear he was so close! We were cool and didn't bother them, but you could tell they were not from Wyoming!"

Meghan and Harry treated their children to a pre-Christmas holiday to Costa Rica. It was revealed the couple stayed in a house instead of a hotel and they were spotted taking in the local sights.

In pictures obtained by CRHoy, Meghan was pictured holding her daughter. Lilibet's face was obscured from view, but fans were able to see how adorable she looked wearing a white dress.

Archie spent his first Christmas in Canada with his parents. The family enjoyed hiking in Horth Hill Regional Park on Vancouver Island and marked the occasion in a very special way.

Meghan and Harry released a black-and-white Christmas card from the trip, with Archie seen staring straight into the camera. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were then seen smiling in the background.

Meghan later gushed about the trip as she spoke to the diplomats and members of the staff gathered in the halls of Canada House. She said: "My goodness it was just such an incredible time we were able to have there and with our son too.

"And just to be able to take in the warmth that we experienced from the people also just walk around and just see the beauty of Canada. To see Archie go ‘ahh’ when you walk by and just see how stunning it is, so it meant a lot to us."

Harry added Canada is a "wonderful place". He said: "The warmth and hospitality that we were shown while there was unbelievable, and that’s exactly why we chose to go out there, so thank you."

Archie's first trip with his parents happened in September 2019, when he joined Meghan and Harry on their royal tour of South Africa. The 10-day trip covered South Africa, Angola, Malawi and Botswana.

Archie was only seen once on the trip, during a meeting with Nobel Peace Prize award-winner Desmond Tutu. Meghan opened up about parenting during her Ladies Who Launch event on the third day of the tour.

"Being a working mum and travelling as well with a baby, my goodness it’s a lot, but it’s all so exciting," she gushed. Waseefa Majiet, a friend of Shaamiela and Ibrahim Samodien who hosted the Sussexes in their home, also spoke about how great Archie was.

"She was speaking about motherhood and the transition and said that Archie was a good traveller. She said the transition was quite smooth because he's an easy baby and he was an easy traveller, Harry said he slept on his chest almost 11 hours [during the flight]," she revealed.
