KENNEWICK, Wash.-The Annual Kids Fishing Day event is set for April 19 at the Family Fishing Pond in Columbia Park.

Kids between the ages of 5 and 14 will have the opportunity to fish at the event sponsored by the City of Kennewick and several local businesses, with all bait and tackle being provided. 

There are two fishing sessions on April 19 for the Arc of Tri-Cities Fishing Day, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

No license is required for the event and registered participants will receive a free T-shirt. There is a three fish maximum catch limit. Kids Fishing Day registration closed on April 17.

On April 20, Kids Fishing Day will be held for those who registered between March 15 and April 17.

The Family Fishing Pond is primed for Kids Fishing Day after being stocked with trout by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife on April 17.
