ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- Two brothers from Pensacola were taken to the hospital after a car crashed into their home in Escambia County early Monday morning.

The crash happened at a home on the 400-block of Lenox Parkway at around 12:42 a.m.

Escambia County Fire Rescue initially reported that the driver, a 38-year-old Pensacola woman, was injured in the incident. Florida Highway Patrol clarified on Tuesday that it was in fact two brothers inside the home that suffered injuries.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a gray Camaro, driven by a 38-year-old Pensacola woman, was traveling south on Chimes Way approaching Lenox Parkway. Troopers say the woman failed to maintain control of the vehicle and collided with the home.

The woman did not suffer any injuries.

Florida Highway Patrol says one resident, a 66-year-old Pensacola man, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. And the 66-year-old's brother was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Troopers say the woman was also cited for careless driving.
