Of the many academic accomplishments, papers and degrees, Rene completed during her life, the one which stirred her heart and defined her faith and self sacrifice was a simple 2 letter word "Ma". When Rene opened her home and heart to 4 unrelated "daughters" fleeing war torn Vietnam, to live a life in a free country, our USA she redefined her life's vocation of love. It will be that measure of love upon which God will receive us. May we imitate Rene's heroic virtue who when God whispered, Rene replied "Speak Lord your servant is listening".
