The Philadelphia 76ers had a ver important event taking place today outside of their stadium facilities where the statues of all their historic players are featured. On Friday, Sixers favorite Allen Iverson finally got the statue he deserved as the unveiling was today in front of a large crowd. Aongside his new statue, Iverson shares the spotlight wuth Sixers luminaries such as Wilt Chamberlain, Maurice Cheeks, Billy Cunningham, Bobby Jones, Julius Erving, Charles Barkley, and Moses Malone. Iverson was there with a happy crowd and he was the one who unveiled the new statue that will be added to the collection. But there was a slight issue with this statue unveiling.

Allen Iverson wasn't impressed

As you all may know, Allen Iverson was short for NBA player standards, he was a slightly below average height for NBA players but that didn't stop him from becoming a legend. The other statues that exist appear to be much bigger than the one of Allen Iverson. When the player made the revelation, he didn't seem too impressed by the size of the statue despite people cheering as the moment happened. It is still unclear whether Allen Iverson didn't seem too impressed for something else or the size of this statue or if he was unbothered by something else entirely. All we can say is that we completely understand it if Iverson is unhappy by this particular statue.

When he was a player, there is no quesiton that Allen IVerson was a generational talent who made Sixers fans very happy despite never winning a champinship with them. The Philadelphia 76ers reached the finals in the early '2000s thanks to a stellar Allen Iverson. However, they weren't able to get past the three-peat Lakers led by Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal. It had been a long time since the Sixers reached this stage of the tournament. Iverson deserves a statue simply for being considered the most talented NBA dribblers during the years of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.
